Poonam Mirchandani – Partner, Mirchandani & Partners

Poonam Mirchandani is the precedent partner of Mirchandani & Partners, a niche cross-border family law practice.

Poonam’s primary focus is complex family law matters, divorces involving high net worth individuals, cases involving issues of child custody, relocation, international child abduction, private client asset and wealth management, estate, succession planning, immigration, property cases, etc.  She has specialized knowledge of international child abduction cases and appeared before the Court of Appeal in two recent Hague Convention cases.  She works regularly with foreign legal counsels in cross-border matters.

Poonam has authored articles relating to international family law issues and is a regular presenter at international conferences on cross-border family law issues. 

She is the Vice-President of the Asia-Pacific Chapter of the International Academy of Family Lawyers, a worldwide association of practicing lawyers who are recognized by their peers as the most experienced matrimonial law specialists in their respective jurisdictions.   She is also a Co-Vice Chair of the Family Law Practice Committee of the Law Society of Singapore.  Poonam is an accredited Family Mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre, a Family Mediator at the Singapore Family Justice Courts, a Cross-Border Family Mediator, a Collaborative Family Practitioner, a Parenting Coordinator and a Child Representative.
