Judge Sheik Mustafa Bin Abu Hassan – District Judge, Family Justice Courts

Sheik Mustafa is a District Judge of the Family Justice Courts. He was previously a deputy public prosecutor, a private practitioner, a registrar of the Syariah Court, and a deputy director of Legal Aid prior to his present appointment. He has been deeply involved in the field of Muslim family and succession laws. When he was in private practice he was a member of the Law Society’s Muslim Law Practice Committee that was involved in the landmark amendments to the Administration of Muslim Law Act in 1999.
